Euskorpora participated in the international LREC 2026 conference (Palma de Mallorca) with the presentation of the scientific paper and poster entitled “Euskorpora: A Strategic Framework for Digital Sovereignty and Linguistic Inclusion of Basque in the Era of AI”. Before the international research community, the association presented the operational foundations of its model to ensure the digital future of the Basque language.
The technical publication details the project’s comprehensive strategy, ranging from the large-scale collection and governance of multimodal data for the Euskorpus corpus to the methodology used in the development of open-source language and speech models. This presentation marks an important milestone by scientifically validating a technological infrastructure designed to be competitive, open, and interoperable with European data frameworks such as the European Language Data Space (LDS).
